Golden Hawkettes Dance Team

About Coach Frank

Venezia Frank is the new Head Coach for Hardaway High School’s Golden Hawkettes.  She has always had a strong love for dance but was not trained technically until her first year on her high school’s dance team in 2013.

She was trained in ballet, jazz, and hip-hop during her high school years.  After graduating, she started working with her mentor, Tamela Ransom, at Passion Works Dance Academy.  While working there, she continued to take technical classes, and was introduced to tap. She briefly danced on her college’s dance team for the competition season.  She continued to dance until she gave birth to her son in 2020, but her love for the sport never left.

Executive Committee

This will be Chari and Courtney's 6th year as Band parents. In 2024 Chari watched her oldest son grow in the marching band, and complete his senior year as the drumline captain alongside his freshman brother who plays the clarinet. In 2018 Courtney's daughter completed two years in the marching band before focusing her attention to ROTC. Currently her son is commencing his senior year as a 4th year Drumline member, having played Bass, Quads and Snare, and will be finishing his high school career as this year's Drum Major! It has been a joy for us to watch this band and all of our "band babies" change and grow.

We are honored to be trusted to assist as parent and community liaisons, making sure our Marching Hawks staff and students have everything they need as well as handling things logistically and for the band.

Courtney is excited to watch her son lead the Million Dollar Marching Hawks Show Band and see the new direction in which the band is going and growing.

Chari feels blessed to have earned her nickname from the kids "Mama Pitts" and she is excited for the future of the program.
